This is the blog for COMH212: Social Justice Communication, a June 2014 travel course run through the University of Tampa by Dr. Christopher Boulton. The  trip takes students abroad to produce two short documentary films about community development and environmental protection efforts in and around Cuenca, Ecuador.

This blog is meant to do three things. First, it aims to be transparent about the process behind researching, shooting, and editing a social justice oriented film. Second, it is designed to build an audience for the documentaries and support for their subject matter. Finally, this blog provides a space for students to reflect on the wide array of cross-cultural encounters and adventures that they experience along the way.

In short, this a blog about social issue filmmaking, culture, and fun.
